Queuing for 3 days to buy a phone?! Someone save me
The world is officially going crazy. Hundreds of people queuing for up to three days on end for a phone! If anyone can tell me a decent reason for giving up friends, family, home and any sort of comfort for this amount of time in order to purchase a phone (overpriced as it is), I'll give you a pat on the back.
I honestly don’t see the big deal. All it is is a phone, just made by Apple. OK, so it’s a phone, web browser and media player rolled into one. Yeah, and it’s beautifully designed. But don’t these people have anything better to do for three days? I’m sure most of them have phones, Ipods and laptops anyway, so surely to have a three-in-one isn’t going to enrich their lives in ways they could never imagine?
I could go on ranting, as I’m in total disbelief, but I guess it says something about the strength of Apple’s fan base, pretentious or not.

Feed me what? I hear you ask. Well, RSS feeds are a fantastic way of getting content from your favourite websites delivered to your desktop. No need to trawl through your favourites checking for updates! Especially useful for arse-ugly websites.

I’ve since had a play with my Uncle’s iPhone, who came over from America recently, and although I retract my statement about it being ‘just a phone’, I still think it’s pretty stupid to queue for three days and nights for one.

I played with a friend’s iPhone, and whilst it’s a nice little device, I’m waiting for some improvements:
- 3G
- 5MP camera would be nice…
And remember, people have queued for days for things like Teletubbies.
